(Huntsville, Alabama)
I've got a monkey on my back.
Not alcohol, no its not crack.
He stole everything and
I WANT IT BACK!
He first came like a thief in the night.
He didn't steal my TV or gold,
He stole my good sight.
He came again soon,
This theft was slow, over time.
Gone now are my speed and stamina,
Qualities that were MINE!
Strength and energy I was known for.
That mischievous primate got 'em
And walked out the door.
But to say he doesn't leave anything
In the place of what he gets is
PURE DUMBNESS!
At some point over time,
He left in place of what he took,
NUMBNESS!!!
And about three years ago,
Exactly when I don't know,
He took my youthful swagger,
And left me a stagger.
Now I'm quite a show!!
My wife left me, this past March.
I don't give him all the credit,
But I know he played a part!
He'd be proud to know,
He helped break my heart!!
That was my biggest loss to date.
It was more than a loss of a wife.
She was the best friend of mine.
No doubt, it will prove to be
The loss of a lifetime!!!
But I am hangin' tough
And fighting the good fight!
I thank God for my blessings,
Each and every night!!!
Gone is the big muscles,
Gone is the wife,
But poor little MS can't take my
PRAYERS!!! Ha Ha
THEY'RE for LIFE!!!!
Glory to GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
