(Manila, Philippines)
Hi, my name is Rosanne Romero. Am Filipina and live in the Philippines where MS is not a "well-known" disease...or a disease that is not commonly understood.
I was only 33 when I was first diagnosed with MS (am now 54!) and when I started to use a cane, people would actually stop and watch me amble about. Very annoying. Made me feel like a performing poodle.
And then when I had to switch to using a motorized wheelchair (an Amigo), things only got worse. The first time I used it to go shopping, the guard at the mall entrance refused me entry saying such toys weren't allowed inside the mall. I kid you not.
Am so glad to have stumbled upon your site. My daughter got me started on a blog at rosanneromero.wordpress.com

Dear Friends,
"Life in Spite of MS is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. We're also part of the Ebay Partner Network, another affiliate program."
We'd also like you to know it doesn't cost one cent more when you click through the links here on our blog. Not one single penny. And we will make a little extra cash when you do click through. We'll be ever so appreciative. You also have our word that we'll only link to things that we would use ourselves, (or wish we could have or use).
Sincerely,
Cir & Akrista
