Heather Fargo is the most recent former mayor of Sacramento, California.
REPLY:
Heather learned that she had MS in 1996 after having symptoms that would not go away. First her feet went numb and then she felt as though she were walking on "gravel"
She saw her doctor, and after going through a series of tests - including painful spinal taps - she was diagnosed with a mild form of multiple sclerosis. She kept her condition a secret - only telling immediate family and friends - until February of 2007, when she finally went public.
"I honestly didn't know how people were going to react," Fargo said. "I'm hoping that people who have it (MS) can look at me and feel better about themselves. Those who don't have it can learn more about what it is."
She never stopped and successfully ran for City Council and served as Mayor of Sacramento, California up until 2008.

Dear Friends,

We'd also like you to know it doesn't cost one cent more when you click through the links here on our blog. Not one single penny. And we will make a little extra cash when you do click through. We'll be ever so appreciative. You also have our word that we'll only link to things that we would use ourselves, (or wish we could have or use).
Sincerely,
Cir & Akrista
